Okagbare wins bronze medal in 200m

Blessing Okagbare on Friday claimed a bronze medal at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Moscow to add to the silver medal she clinched in the women’s long jump event last Sunday.
Friday’s race was won by Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica, who completed a sprint double at the world championships, adding the 200 metres gold medal to her 100m title.
Three-time world champion Allyson Felix of the United States dropped to the track early in the race grabbing her right leg and did not finish.
Fraser-Pryce won in 22.17 seconds, Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast took the silver in 22.32, same time as Okagbare, who finished sixth in the 100m.
The Ivorian however got the second spot after the officials went through the photo finish.
